Live With Passion

Passion (noun)

Any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate.

Passion is perhaps one of the biggest determining factors for a successful website.

Everytime you create new content for your website, developing it with passion will create an equal amount of passion from your readers.

Passionate content will compell people to share it with others and creates a strong community within your website. There are many ways to create passion within your content, but it requires it to come from within, the following are a few ways to add a little passion to your website.

Write compelling and heartful content

When people browse your website, what are they looking for?

If you think they are just looking for a product or helpful information you may be missing the point. Most web users are looking for something they can relate to, something that will will cherish and hopefull feel compelled to share with others.

The first step to creating passion in your website is to write compelling posts and articles.

Many websites rely on link-baiting, list posts and round ups as their main focus to bring in readers but what real meaning do those readers gain if the writer does not include some sort of argument or opinion?

Great writing moves people, inspires them and gives the reader the sense of fulfilment.

Next time, when writing for your website, include your own opinions and arguments about popular trends. Including questions to the community will help build engagement within your comments instead of the usual “great post!” one liner.

Creating quality content can be a time consuming process but this is what differentiates you from the rest of the crowed, take the extra step and write for your readers.

Another aspect of creating passion in your writing is to include heartfelt content. The web has created an autonomous side to people as they stare at pixels throughout the day, they wonder where the humanity has gone in this technology.

Identify with your readers with the problems they face and tell them stories, make them feel emotions.

Reply to ALL of your comments

If you use blogging as your platform of choice you’ve conciously told yourself that you want to participate in one of the larget online communities.

People come to your blog to read your posts but to also engage in intelligent discussions with you about said post. Ignoring your comments makes people feel like their effort in reading and talking about it all but worthless.

Although you may tell yourself that you have more important things to address than to comment your readers, what you’re really doing is crippling your chance of building a great community.

There will always been a flux of new visitors to your blog but your core community is what really drives it. Follow up your commentors with engagin dialog and make them feel like they have relevance to your blog and community, this will create passion in your readers which in turn will build your base and strength.

Passionate Content Will Be Shared

People use social media for a variety of reasons but without a doubt people love to share interesting things they find online with their friends.

A passionate reader will feel compelled to help spread your word if they trust you and feel you’re providing them valuable content. By gripping your readers with great posts, they will begin to be excited and anticipate when new posts are published.

Once you’ve created a feverous community, your readers will spread the posts like wildfire all over the internet and in the social media networks.

Write from within

Creativity within your content will make your posts interesting and share worthy.

Injecting your posts with a bit of humor is one great way to show off the inner you, just don’t be too racey or negative with your jokes.

Write your posts from the heart as if you were addressing them to someone close to you, although there could be a huge distance between you and your reader, write as if you were talking to them directly.

Add your own personal touch to each one of your posts by including something that expresses some of your joys and concerns about the topic you are talking about.

Final Thoughts

Writing without passion will create a stressful task of creating content for your website.

Many bloggers try to enter a niche for profit only to find they are not able to continue to contribute quality content in comparison to those truley passionate about the subject. Next time when writing for your website, try out some new techniques to incorporate a personal touch, something to engage your readers and fill it with so much information that your readers wouldn’t think a second about not sharing it with others.

So, how do YOU create passion in your posts?
