For quite some time I have been mulling around the idea of starting a mastermind group; that day is finally upon here. Are you ready?
What is the Murlu Mastermind Group?
Years ago I remember being apart of a special group of people that would help another out with their online content whether it be blogs, freelance writing, business or whatever – the intent was to help network and promote each others work.
Flash forward to today and that idea had still been sitting in my head until I told myself: this needs to be done!
So what is the Murlu Mastermind Group?
- Members help promote each others articles and posts with social media
- Members help others out with ideas and inspiration
- Members network with one another to build a tighter community
No, no, I’m not talking about starting a cult here, what I want to introduce to you is a way to help each other out with whatever online venture they may be doing.
In exchange for your participation by promoting others content; your content will be promoted in return. It’s a win/win situation.
The Murlu Mastermind Group is fairly simple in reality – it’s a Google Group.
Of course, there are some ground rules.
Murlu Mastermind “Rules”
Okay, there really aren’t any rules and I’m going off a hippie mentality here: give back what you receive.
It’s all about sharing.
If you become a member of the Murlu Mastermind group, you will be able to work with other bloggers such as yourself to promote your content, help out with ideas and gain inspiration while doing the same in return to other members.
How it works “in a nutshell”
I don’t want this post to drag on longer than it needs to because the concept is actually quite easy to understand.
Here’s an example of how the group works:
- A member joins and lists their social media profiles and introduces themselves
- Each day we will have a “promote” list which other users can see the latest content or project created by a user.
- Members would then Tweet, Digg, Stumble, etc the content.
- If it’s project based, we all could help lend our services or at least guide other users in the right direction.
In reality, it’s basically what many of us are doing now but in a much more structured manner.
Here are some of the benefits of joining:
- Increase traffic
- Generate more subscribers and opt-ins
- Gain valuable feedback from other bloggers and online entrepreneurs
- Build a support system for inspiration and productivity
Simple, right?
How to join (limited spots available)
At first, I thought it would be a good idea to open this to everyone because I believe it would be worthwhile for all those to participate but in reality too many people would make it literally impossible to keep up with.
This is why I want to make the Murlu Mastermind Group exclusive to a few people:
- There will be 20 available spots open initially
Of course, if the idea takes off and I keep getting emails from people that want to join all members can vote and we can begin opening spots again – I think that would be fair.
To reiterate, there will only be 20 available spots for those people that are interested in this project. I want to make sure the ones that join will actually be active and truly want to network with the other members.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in participating in, please email me and tell me why you believe you’d be a good candidate for the group.
*Membership will be chosen based on participation here at Murlu and those that will benefit the group the most – no hard feelings if you don’t make the first round but keep trying!
Final thoughts
I believe this can turn out to be a really amazing opportunity. You know how everyone wants to have a “blogger buddy”? Well, this would be like an entire group that will help another out with their online ventures.

I would love to be a part of this, but I have too much going on atm and I know if I joined now it would be with good intentions only – and we know where that leads!

Its a nice job of Murlu Mastermind Group. It is strongly true statement through Hill, when two people with same mentality and focus come together and focus on one thing, a third force grows which helps to reach the goal. I think its a great activities of mastermind group by coordinating of two or more minds, in a spirit of perfect harmony, for the purpose of accomplishing any given task. It is true that there is no one person with sufficient experience and ability to succeed in the life without the cooperation with other people for that view their activities would be effective for all community.
